SciDrones Presented on Using Drones to Detect Marine Litter at the PLASYS 2024 Symposium on October 3rd

ICEBERG’s partner organization, SciDrones, gave a presentation on October 3rd at the PLASYS Symposium in Rhodes, Greece, about using drones to observe marine litter. ICEBERG’s fieldwork in Húsavik, Iceland, and Qaqortoq, Kalaallit Nunaat, was also discussed in the presentation.

Global Plastic Pollution Systems Symposium (PLASYS) is a three-day symposium, where plastic pollution and its inter-disciplinary solutions are discussed. This year, the symposium is held in Rhodes, Greece from 2 to 4 October.

On October 3rd, ICEBERG’s partner organization, SciDrones, gave a presentation in the symposium with the title ‘Monitoring and mapping marine litter pollution through coastal marine litter observatory (CMLO): A case study in Arctic Environment’.
